Autonomous movement on land, water and in the air
Just 100 years ago, people believed that the car will not prevail over the carriage. Today, the car is an integral part of our life. But individuality has its price: streets are filling up, green spaces are being developed and both humans and nature suffer from the constant growing traffic volume and the pollution. Public transportation does not have the desired flexibility to meet individual requirements. That is why the concept of autonomous vehicles exist. What started with car sharing is now consistently pursued with autonomous vehicles. These vehicles can be ordered via remote access and transport passengers from A to B. Subsequently, the vehicle is available for new passengers or returns, if needed, to the charging station. flexmeta works consequently to develop new solutions that enable autonomous mobility. Current examples are highly-complex micro processor controls, programmable logic and algorithms.
New ways of transportation
Reports about flying taxis, hyperloop, stratosphere flights or hoverboards in the current media let us think about science fiction books of the last century, which have already become reality. Many of these systems grew out of the prototype status. flexmeta is substantially involved in the development of these systems. The challenges are in the development of multi-dimensional sensors for position, acceleration and location as well as sensor fusion, combined with complex regulations.
